Well I finally finished my book, now I just need to find someone interested in publishing it. I'll be posting new pages as I bring them onto the website. I did add some to the Book section on the site if you want to check them out. The story is set in a New York-eque backdrop and is about a Lonely Heart Detective named Nick D. Heart (the "D" can stands for Damaged or it could be NickeD) who tracks down lost Valentines. We follow him on Feb. 14th, his busiest month/day, as he searches for a missing "V". Along the way he encounters a wide range of symbols and characters (some good, some not so good) as he collects information and picks up clues. It is a journey that makes him question himself and leads him to his own answers. It is a very different kind of Valentine story. Hopefully it will get published and you all can enjoy it
So I have been wanting to get my Comic Strip going and decided that 2014 should be the year. Here are two one panel strips to welcome "BRUCE" back and I added some color. Hope you enjoy them and I would appreciate any feedback.
Happy 2014 everyone. I was going through some of my artwork from the past years and came across some things I'd like to share. The PEANUTS comic strip was done in 1986 for an assignment for my Satirical Cartooning class at SVA. It was taught by HARVEY KURTZMAN and SARAH DOWNS. The assignment was to pick a cartoonist, research that artist, find out what materials they used (brushes, pens, ink, paper, ect.) and use those materials and do a satirical cartoon based on the artist's strip and place it in a current time period (this happened to be the 80's). I chose CHARLES "SPARKY" SCHULZ and his strip "PEANUTS". I used the quill pens and nibs he used and on the paper he liked. The content is kinda crude but it was a Satirical class for HARVEY "freakin" KURTZMAN (Little Annie Fannie and MAD magazine) so it had to be uncensored. I hope you enjoy it.
This is a Comic Book I did about my Dad for his Birthday last year. We love our DUNKIN' DONUTS Coffee and I came up with this idea. It gave me the opportunity to bring back JAVAMAN. My Dad recently was diagnosed with Prostrate cancer and is getting opperated on at the end of the month. This is a tribute to the one person who has never stopped believing in me. A great person and awesome Father. I love you Dad. I hope you take the time to read thiis entertaining story located in the Sketchbook section of the website.
Carolyn made this unbelievable Lasagna. It was a version of Mario Batali's. It was amazing, she used ground pork & veal and 1/4 lb. of PANCETTE ! Make sure you use Parmigiano-Reggiano, it makes all the difference. You can find the recipe at http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/mario-batali/lasagne-bolognese-al-forno-recipe/index.html It is probably the best thing she has ever made and that's saying a lot cause Carolyn can really cook. It is expensive to make but well worth it. Enjoy!
I recently finished reading the latest novel by my favorite author, Robert Crais, called "Suspect". It's a stand alone novel, not one of his popular Elvis Cole series.
This story centered around a German Sheppard named Maggie. The story was intense and engaging. Robert really developes his characters and the characteristics and qualities his brought out in Maggie reminded me so much of my relationship with Gabe that I just had to post these pictures from our last visit to Paramount Ranch
MICKEY SHROOM is making a comeback in 2013. Here is some interesting information about this little Fungi. He was the first character I developed a Comic Strip of for submission to the Newspaper Syndicates back in 1990.
Here is one of the awesome items I'm selling. This is a very RARE item and I really hate to part with it but some things have to go and this one happens to be one of them. Read the details and you will se just how rare it is. More items to come. I do have a Bart Simpson talking Good/Evil Krusty the Clown doll from the Tree House of Horrors that I plan on selling, just don't have an image of it to post. See, tons of cool stuff to check out.

My little one wanted Daddy to draw her FROSTY for Christmas. So this was a quick little sketch I did for her.
I liked it so I thought I'd share it here for you to enjoy! Have a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
Merry Christmas from the KCENICH's!
This was CAROLINE ROSE's first trip to see SANTA. It was truly magical. She didn't cry, she played with other kids in line and went right up to the jolly Elf and sat on his knee and chatted with him. Three perfect shots and SANTA even told me she was delightful and she even got a plush kitty for being so good. Priceless. Our little bundle of Holiday Joy. Hope you all had a very special Christmas and all the best for the New Year. See you in 2013!
I am a long time Drawer, first time Blogger so don't expect too much. I describe myself as a Cartoonist who animates. Once I get the hang of Blogging I'll try to make this spot as interesting and entertaining as possible. It'll have artwork and maybe a bi-weekly strip and non-art related things as well. So keep checking in if you have time in your schedule. Thanks for stopping by my site.
